Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to support our day-to-day financial operations. This role will focus on invoicing, accounts payable/receivable, and keeping our books clean and accurate. You’ll work directly with ownership and office staff to ensure financial data is organized, up-to-date, and actionable.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate and send customer invoices accurately and on time
• Process accounts payable (vendor bills, expense tracking, approvals)
• Manage accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances
• Reconcile bank and credit card statements
• Maintain accurate records in QuickBooks Online
• Assist with job costing and tracking profitability per project
• Organize receipts and documentation for accounting records
• Support payroll coordination and reporting as needed
• Assist with month-end close and basic financial reporting

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or related experience
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles (AP/AR, reconciliations)
• Experience with QuickBooks Online required
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality

Preferred Skills (Not Required)

• Experience in construction or service-based accounting
• Familiarity with job costing and project-based financial tracking
• Experience processing 1099s or working with subcontractors
• Google Sheets / Excel proficiency
