About the opportunity: Assistant Structural Designer We are currently seeking a full-time Assistant Structural Designer to help us achieve our company mission. This person will be part of the Civil/Structural team, which is responsible for developing designs for structural layouts in facilities such as refineries, distilleries, and consumer packaging facilities. C&I is an employee‑owned, full‑service engineering design firm providing engineering/design/project management and procurement services to various clients. Responsibilities Create structural steel, reinforced concrete, and site design drawings. Use 3D modeling software to design structures (CADWorx is preferred). Use AutoCAD and/or Microstation. Assist others in gathering field information with supervision. Check own work for completeness before submitting it to leads. File plots and check prints in the project discipline file. Hold a 2‑year technical degree with a specialization in computer‑aided drafting and design, along with a minimum of 5 years of related experience, or a bachelor’s degree from an engineering program with 3 years of relevant experience. Hold a driver’s license. Be willing to travel up to 10% of the time. Preferred Qualifications Commitment to continued learning. Industry work experience. Benefits Employee owned. ESOP.
