Assistant Women's Soccer Coach Assist Head Coach in preparation and conduct of practices and games; assist in recruiting as needed. • Assist the Head Coach with all aspects of practice planning, game preparation, and opponent scouting. • Support scouting and recruitment of prospective student-athletes. • Teach, train, and evaluate student-athletes to support their athletic and academic development. • Assist with evaluating and submitting Physical Education grades. • Perform other duties as requested or assigned. Required: • Demonstrated prior experience in soccer, with the ability to effectively coach, instruct, and provide constructive feedback to student-athletes. • Maintain a growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ, reflect His character in all interactions, and faithfully uphold and embrace Northwestern's mission, Doctrinal Statement and Declaration of Christian Community. Nice to Have: • Bachelor's degree. • Previous collegiate participation and/or coaching experience. • Ability to contribute to defensive skill development and team defensive schemes. • Independent & Teamwork: Capable of working both independently and collaboratively, with minimal supervision. • Confidentiality: Maintains discretion and handles sensitive information appropriately. • Organizational Skills: Strong time management and problem-solving abilities; able to prioritize and meet deadlines with attention to detail. • Technical Proficiency: Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office and related software. • Written & Verbal Communication: Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills. • Recruiting: Ability to communicate the uniqueness of University of Northwestern to prospective athletes and their parents. • Knowledgeability: Knowledge and understanding of collegiate sport rules and regulations. • Flexibility: Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed. • Travel: Willingness and ability to travel occasionally for work-related purposes. • Driver's License: Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation. • Background Check: Must pass initial and ongoing background checks as a condition of employment.
