Point Quest Pediatric Therapies is seeking a compassionate and dependable Behavioral Aide II for our Hayward service area to support children with special needs in educational and therapeutic environments. In this role, you will work directly with students to help them build communication, social, behavioral, and daily living skills, while supporting their participation and success in structured learning activities. Under the guidance of behavior analysts, therapists, and educational staff, you will implement individualized behavior intervention plans and educational support strategies that align with each child’s unique goals and needs. As a Behavioral Aide II, you will provide one-on-one and small-group support in classroom and clinic-like settings, using positive reinforcement, proactive behavior management, and evidence-based practices. You will assist with classroom organization, transitions between activities, and the general flow of the learning environment so students can remain engaged and safe. A key part of your work will involve observing student behavior, tracking target skills, and accurately documenting data so the team can monitor progress and adjust interventions over time. Collaboration is central to this position. You will work closely with teachers, pediatric occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and other members of an interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and ensure consistent strategies across settings. You will participate in team meetings and training sessions, share your observations, and contribute to problem-solving discussions that support each student’s growth. You will also use de‑escalation techniques and crisis-prevention strategies to respond calmly to challenging behaviors while maintaining a respectful, supportive atmosphere.
