Performance Foodservice, a leading food distributor delivering over 150,000 food and food-related products nationwide, is seeking a safety-focused CDL A Delivery Driver for our night shift in {JOB-CITY}, {JOB-STATE}. As part of our Transportation & Logistics team, you will play a key role in delivering food and supplies to a wide range of customers, from family-owned restaurants to national chains, while providing the high level of customer service that defines our brand. In this night shift role, you will operate a CDL A tractor-trailer on established regional routes, safely loading, transporting, and unloading food products at multiple customer locations. You will perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, comply with all DOT and company safety regulations, accurately verify orders against invoices, and handle products with care to maintain quality and food safety. Using hand trucks and pallet jacks, you will manually unload products into customer locations, often navigating ramps, stairs, and tight storage areas. You will interact directly with restaurant and foodservice staff, obtaining signatures, managing returns, resolving basic delivery issues, and representing Performance Foodservice with a professional, team-oriented attitude. Our culture emphasizes teamwork, innovation, and exceptional customer service, and you will work closely with dispatch, warehouse, and fellow drivers to maintain on-time deliveries, communicate route or traffic issues, and support continuous improvement in our operations. This position requires the physical ability to lift, push, and pull heavy cases repeatedly throughout the shift, work in varying temperatures including coolers and freezers, and maintain focus and alertness while driving during night hours.
