Job Description

Our client, a manufacturing organization specializing in prototype and low-volume production, is seeking a CNC Machinist/Programmer to join their team. As a CNC Machinist/Programmer, you will be part of the manufacturing department supporting the production team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: CNC Machinist/Programmmer

Location: Richfield, WI

Pay Range: $25-30/hour

Shift: 1st shift

What's the Job?

• Create programs directly at the CNC controller using conversational programming techniques.
• Perform tool selection, fixture setup, and work offset calibration to ensure precision.
• Read and interpret complex blueprints, GD&T, and engineering specifications for accurate machining.
• Inspect machined parts using micrometers, calipers, and gauges, making adjustments to maintain tolerances.
• Identify and troubleshoot machining issues such as tool wear, chatter, or finish anomalies to maintain quality and efficiency.

• Proven experience in CNC machining with a focus on conversational programming.
• Deep understanding of speeds, feeds, materials, and tooling.
• Strong shop math and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple production tasks.
• Detail-oriented with a quality-focused mindset.
