As a Cognitive Behavior Coach, you will help kids who struggle with social, emotional and behavioral challenges. This position requires a motivated and passionate individual who will guide and assist children through various sensory and motor activities which stimulate the brain.

Responsibilities: 

Backed by the support and supervision of our awesome staff, you would:

  • Work with kids (4-18 years old) with social, emotional, academic and behavioral struggles and/or with formal diagnoses such as  Autism, ADHD, Asperger’s, ODD, Dyslexia, Learning and Processing Disorders.
  • Work part-time hours Monday, Wednesday, Friday between the times of 3:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. 
  • Gain training and skills to support a career in behavior analysis, behavioral health, teaching, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech language pathology, counseling, kinesthesiology, mental health, and parenting.
  • Create lasting, positive change for children and their families.

 

Qualifications: 

Do you have what it takes? Although we don’t require specific experience, we do look for certain characteristics, including:

 

  • A genuine desire to help children and their families achieve goals. 
  • A steady supply of empathy, compassion, enthusiasm, patience, kindness, and reliability. 
  • Strong curiosity and a desire to learn about why children struggle.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Meet the minimum age requirement of 18 (on or before the first day of employment).
  • Eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Availability to work a consistent weekly schedule: 
  • The ability to pass a background check, criminal check, and child abuse clearance
  • Reliable transportation/Valid Driver's License

 

Not to mention, it is a plus if you:

  • Studied, majored, or minored in psychology, education, special education, child care, behavioral health, health science, or a related field.
  • Have experience working with children, whether as a babysitter, nanny, tutor, teacher, coach, camp counselor, or some other form of childcare.
