Description & Requirements Description Kelly Science & Clinical is currently seeking candidates for a Quality Color Lab Technician position at a coatings manufacturing company in Wood Dale IL. The main responsibility of this role is to perform color matching of samples in order to match customers' specifications. Additional responsibilities include performing various analyses to verify conformance of formulations, raw materials, in process components, and finished products to meet quality specifications.
Key Responsibilities: - Matching colors from customer samples to their specifications and providing corrective formulas as necessary
- Evaluate products manufactured in the plant for conformance to established standards
- Operate, maintain, and calibrate lab equipment
- Maintain accurate records of technical information including inspection results and notes on adjustment activities
- Support batch investigation of customer complaints
- Follow work site rules for safety, waste, and chemical handling
- Maintain good housekeeping in the laboratory and inspection areas
Qualifications: - High school degree or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry would be a plus
- Minimum of three (3) years of color matching experience
- Ability to pass the Farnsworth Munsell color test
- Good verbal, written, and computer skills
- Organized, detail oriented, and methodical
