Estimator (Remote)

Job Description

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for construction projects based on project drawings and specifications.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and clients to gather necessary project details and ensure alignment on scope and budget.
• Analyze project requirements to identify potential risks and opportunities for cost savings.
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
• Maintain detailed records of all estimates, proposals, and project budgets for future reference.
• Provide support during the bidding process by preparing and submitting competitive proposals.
• Stay updated on industry trends, material costs, and construction techniques to improve accuracy in cost estimation.
• Assist in the development of cost control measures and strategies for ongoing projects.

The Successful Applicant

• A solid understanding of construction processes, materials, and industry standards in South Florida
• Proficiency in estimating software and tools to create accurate cost projections.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills to evaluate project details and costs effectively.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
• The ability to work independently in a remote setting while meeting deadlines and maintaining attention to detail.
• A proactive approach to identifying cost-saving measures and optimizing project budgets.
