AVI Foodsystems is seeking a skilled, energetic, and optimistic Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our Maintenance team at our Head Quarters location in Warren, OH . This is a Monday – Friday, dayshift position . The position plays a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of facilities and equipment at our AVI Headquarters campus facilities throughout the Warren, OH area. This position supports and ensures the AVI Foodsystems standards within our facilities which support the quality of the products we provide to our customers and clients throughout the country.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• General repair and maintenance including repair of machinery, HVAC systems, plumbing and electrical wiring.
• Safety Inspections: perform audits and inspect buildings to confirm safety standards and identify potential hazards: prepare repair and/or replacement recommendations
• Perform electrical maintenance to include lighting, switches , outlets, fuses, breakers
• Repair equipment utilizing hand and power tools
• Participate in planning and executing office and building renovations
• Conduct predictive and preventative maintenance
• Responsible areas include corporate office buildings and manufacturing plants

Routine Tasks :

• Electrical troubleshooting, installations and repairs
• Executing preventative maintenance programs
• Routine repairs (e.g., windows, doors, walls, patch & paint, etc.)
• Grounds Maintenance daily
• Assist Department Manager with Maintaining HVAC equipment for proper climate control

Maintenance Technician Skills and Qualifications:

• Three or more years of experience in facilities maintenance
• Entry level HVAC experience preferred by not required
• Professional experience with single-phase and three-phase electric power
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Problem-Solving: ability to diagnose issues and find effective solutions
• Attention to detail, ensuring repairs are thorough and accurate
• Good communication skills
• Predictive and preventative maintenance experience
