*Job Summary*
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Heavy Duty Truck Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this vital role, you will perform comprehensive repairs and maintenance on a variety of heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and equipment to ensure optimal performance, safety, and compliance. Your expertise will keep our fleet running smoothly and efficiently, supporting our mission to deliver safe, reliable transportation services.

Hourly pay with overtime rate @1.50 after 40 hours.

*Responsibilities*

* Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, hydraulics, and electrical systems on heavy-duty trucks and trailers
* Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime
* Perform tire service, and equipment repairs using power tools and hand tools
* Read schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues
* Maintain detailed service records and complete all required documentation accurately

*Skills*

* Proven experience working as a Heavy Duty Truck Mechanic in a dealership or fleet environment
* Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, air brake systems, drive axles, clutch, hydraulics, suspension components, HVAC systems, shocks & struts
* Skilled in automotive diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, welding (including soldering), and fabrication techniques
* Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals effectively
* Proficient with hand tools, power tools, tire service equipment, and assembly tools
* Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly
* Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in various environmental conditions
