Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE

Power Probe is a growing company seeking an experienced IT Systems & Infrastructure Manager to own the full technology environment across the organization. This is a highly visible role where you will make technology decisions, own vendor relationships, manage the IT budget, and shape how technology supports a growing business.

If you are an experienced IT professional who operates independently, brings sound judgment to competing priorities, and takes pride in running a tight, secure, well-documented environment — this role was built for you.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

End-User Support & Device Management
  • Provide day-to-day IT helpdesk support for all employees across hardware, software, connectivity, and access issues
  • Administer email accounts, user access, and permissions across Microsoft 365 and business applications
  • Support SaaS and BPM workflow platforms and other business tools
  • Set up workstations and IT access for new employees, support printers, office equipment, and IT inventory
  • Execute employee offboarding procedures — revoking system access, recovering devices, and deactivating accounts across all platforms

Network & Infrastructure

  • Maintain wired and wireless networks; ensure strong Wi-Fi coverage throughout the facility
  • Manage VPN access, endpoint security, and antivirus/EDR solutions
  • Administer firewall configuration and enforce cybersecurity best practices (Fortinet)
  • Manage server infrastructure including Synology NAS — configuration, monitoring, and access control
  • Coordinate with ISP and network vendors on connectivity and service changes
Backup & Disaster Recovery
  • Manage and monitor company backup systems; ensure all critical data and systems are backed up on schedule
  • Conduct regular recovery tests to validate backup integrity and document results
  • Maintain a written disaster recovery plan; review and update it at least annually
  • Coordinate with the SAP Business Systems team to ensure ERP data is fully included in backup and recovery scope
Cybersecurity & Security Vendor Management
  • Deploy and manage endpoint protection (EDR/antivirus) across all company devices
  • Manage patch and vulnerability remediation across operating systems and applications
  • Administer email security tools including spam filtering and phishing protection
  • Serve as the internal point of contact for the MDR/SOC vendor — reviewing alerts, coordinating incident response, and ensuring service levels are met
  • Manage all third-party cybersecurity vendor relationships; hold partners accountable to agreed SLAs
  • Enforce access control policies including least-privilege principles and multi-factor authentication (MFA)
  • Drive employee security awareness — communicate emerging threats, reinforce safe practices, and coordinate training
  • Assist with customer security questionnaires and internal compliance documentation

Facilities Technology

  • Manage building access control systems including key fob/card readers and door entry configuration
  • Administer security camera and surveillance systems, coordinate with vendors on maintenance and upgrades
  • Maintain and install conference room AV equipment: displays, video conferencing systems (Zoom Rooms, Teams), and peripherals
  • Manage company TVs, digital signage, and other facility-facing technology
  • Configure, maintain, and support the VoIP phone system and company mobile devices
  • Coordinate with alarm system vendors on configuration, monitoring, and maintenance

Budget, Vendor & Documentation Management

  • Own the IT budget — track spend, manage vendor contracts and renewals, and make purchasing recommendations
  • Evaluate, select, and manage IT vendors and service providers; negotiate contracts and hold partners accountable
  • Document all systems, procedures, and IT processes; maintain an accurate IT asset inventory
  • Participate in leadership discussions on technology planning and support strategic decisions as the company grows

QUALIFICATIONS

Required
  • 5+ years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or a similar hands-on IT role
  • Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Active Directory; macOS familiarity preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 administration across all platforms
  • Working knowledge of server fundamentals; Synology NAS experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of networking fundamentals: switches, firewalls (Fortinet preferred), Wi-Fi, and VPN
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity fundamentals: patching, MFA, endpoint protection, and backup/recovery
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize competing demands, and manage vendor relationships
Preferred
  • SAP S/4HANA (cloud version) familiarity
  • Experience working with or managing an MDR, SOC, or managed security service provider
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or Microsoft certifications
  • Familiarity with BPM or workflow management software (Zoho or similar)
  • Experience in a small or mid-sized manufacturing or distribution environment
  • Exposure to building access control, surveillance, or AV systems
