With over $2 billion in gross premiums written annually, this is a business with true scale and a diversified product portfolio-25% of which is driven by its high-performing Financial Lines division.The OpportunityThis is an outstanding opportunity for a Legal Counsel with 2 to 5 years' post-qualified experience to step into a broad, high-impact role within a sophisticated legal function. Reporting into senior legal leadership and working closely with executive stakeholders, you'll act as a trusted legal advisor, delivering sharp commercial and regulatory legal advice in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide legal support across corporate, commercial, and regulatory mattersAdvise on insurance regulatory compliance, licensing, filings, and internal governanceDraft, negotiate, and review a wide range of commercial agreementsCollaborate with underwriting, compliance, claims, and product development teamsPartner with leadership to support strategic initiatives, product launches, and growth plansAbout You2-5 years of post-qualification legal experience, ideally from a law firm or in-house (insurance is a must)Strong grounding in corporate, commercial, or regulatory lawA commercially minded communicator who thrives in a collaborative environmentA proactive mindset with the confidence to engage with senior leaders and influence decision-makingWillingness to work from the NYC office 3 days per weekWhy Join?You'll be joining a business at the forefront of specialty insurance innovation, with exposure to a wide array of product lines and the chance to play a key role in shaping legal strategy across the business.
