Maintenance Mechanic III

As the Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance of hospital equipment and building components. Working alongside the Engineering Manager, you will diagnose problems, offer solutions, and act to ensure the safety, care, and comfort of staff and patients.

Your duties will include:

• Performing a variety of skilled maintenance, including repairs to machinery, equipment or facilities
• Performing preventive maintenance on hospital and plant equipment
• Executing miscellaneous work orders and answering trouble calls
• Accurately documenting and maintaining records for the facility
• Performing routine electrical, plumbing and HVAC maintenance
• Assisting in ordering parts and supplies needed for maintenance

Qualifications you will need:

• Five years of experience in a large commercial industrial or health care facility as an electrician, HVAC and Plant Operator, or plumber with general and structural maintenance, modification, renovation, and interior construction
• Previous experience in general maintenance in a hospital or similar institution – preferred
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
• Technical, Vocational or other equivalent education – preferred
• Licensed or certified in HVAC, Electrical, Plant Operations or Maintenance field – preferred
