Picker PackerQPS Employment Group is hiring a Picker Packer for a company in Libertyville, IL. This position plays a critical role in supporting the manufacturing and assembly process by ensuring the right materials are delivered to the correct workstations in a timely and efficient manner. Don't miss this great potential to hire opportunity on 1st shift.Picker Packer Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Pick lighting components, such as LED boards, housings, lenses, drivers, wiring, and mounting hardwareReview and interpret production orders, pick tickets, and part numbersStage picked items at assigned assembly stations or production areasOperate handheld scanners and inventory systems to document material movementPerform regular cycle counts and assist with inventory control accuracyIdentify and report inventory issues, damaged items, or shortagesCoordinate with production staff to prioritize orders and minimize downtimeAdhere to all safety guidelines and proper handling procedures for electrical and fragile componentsFollow safety protocols while handling materials and operating equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts if certified)Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work areaPicker Packer Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent preferred1+ year of warehouse or manufacturing picking experience preferredExperience in lighting or electrical component handling is a plusAbility to read and understand pick lists, part numbers, and basic product drawingsFamiliarity with ERP/WMS inventory systems (preferred)Strong attention to detail and organizational skillsGood communication and teamwork skillsAbility to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periodsWork is performed in a warehouse or manufacturing environment; may involve exposure to moving equipment, moderate noise, and temperature changesStanding, walking, lifting, bending, and reaching throughout shiftQPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
