Preschool Aide
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Classroom Support: Assist the lead teacher with implementing age-appropriate lesson plans, curricula, and educational activities.
Supervision & Safety: Actively supervise children at all times, both indoors and outdoors, to ensure a safe, nurturing environment.
Small Group Instruction: Take small groups of students aside for specialized activities or provide one-on-one support for children who need extra assistance.
Daily Care & Hygiene: Assist children with toileting, diapering, handwashing, and maintaining personal hygiene.
Routine Management: Organize nap times, snack/lunch hours, and help transition children between activities.
Classroom Maintenance: Help keep the learning environment clean, organized, and inviting, including setting up learning materials and disinfecting surfaces.
Behavior Guidance: Support classroom management and discipline strategies using positive reinforcement to foster social and emotional development.
Requirements:
Immunizations: MMR and TDAP
Education: 6 Early Childhood Education or Child Development College Units
