IMEG Corp. is seeking a Land Surveyor in Gurnee, IL. The role requires self‑motivation, independence, and application of surveying principles across major or moderate scope projects. Key Duties And Responsibilities Compute geodetic measurements and interpret survey data to determine positions, shapes, and elevations of geomorphic and topographic features Perform complex surveys and complete projects as assigned Research historic maps, land records, previous surveys, and land title information as needed Follow accepted legal principles to compare and verify current measurements and resolve boundary disputes Prepare new parcel plats and legal descriptions Perform staking computations and create exhibits Supervise, participate in, and approve the reduction of survey field notes and calculations Assist in training junior staff members Other duties as assigned Key Skills And Abilities Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and construction documents, with excellent communication skills Demonstrated aptitude to understand calculations, alignments, and instructions for field work Knowledge of AutoCAD C3D software functionality to prepare survey plats and exhibits Maintain thorough understanding of IMEG survey equipment, practices, and survey software including GPS surveying practices Effectively communicate with clients, officials, contractors, and others Self‑motivated with good time management Travel may be required Valid driver’s license with ability to be insured by IMEG carrier Education And Experience Requirements Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Land Surveying, or minor in Land Surveying (preferred) Meet state‑specific licensure requirements for experience, education, and passing the NCEES LS exam Minimum 4 years of PLS experience Position is not eligible for sponsorship Salary Range: $77,000 - $112,000. Minimums and maximums may vary by location. Pay is based on experience, knowledge, skills and abilities. Additional rewards may include annual bonuses and stock ownership options.
