Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a rewarding contract role supporting high school students as a Special Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time onsite position offers the chance to provide meaningful instruction in a self-contained classroom environment, making a lasting impact on young learners.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Washington State Special Education (SPED) license and ESA certificate (both must be current at time of application)
• Previous school-based experience in special education strongly preferred
• Ability to manage a high school caseload in a self-contained classroom
• Comfortable working onsite (remote work is not available)
• Flexibility to accommodate a BIE adjudication process, which may delay start by approximately one week

Primary Responsibilities:

• Create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
• Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction using evidence-based approaches
• Foster a supportive, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
• Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers
• Maintain accurate records and communicate progress with students, families, and staff
• Participate in professional development and school-based meetings as required
