Job Description: This position requires an outgoing professional to proactively encourage payments from our valued customers through outbound collection calls. In addition, the Senior Collections Specialist is responsible for collections metrics and reporting status to management, particularly the company’s top 100 customers list. Must diligently monitor collections process to ensure efficiency and effectiveness and serve as a lead to develop and improve process documentation. This position takes a lead in collection activities and assists the Director of Revenue in making strategic decisions on Collection activities. Works as Director of Revenue’s immediate back up for all Collection activities, including but not limited to testing, reporting and validation of dunning activities in Flexential ERP systems. Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions Research collection disputes and is responsible for resolution. Send out collection letters/notices to past due accounts as laid out in the collections policies and procedures. Compile documentation/reporting for AR bad debt write-offs for the Revenue Accounting Manager’s review quarterly. Prepare reporting for the Monthly Sales Review. Prepare accounts receivable reports for management. Oversee collections management data to ensure compliance with company collections procedures and policy. Coordinate collections efforts with Flexential’s Legal personnel as needed and with outside collection agencies. Maintain NS collections management module data (letters, collection codes). Assist with analysis of account receivable aging and accounts receivable deferred revenue. Communicate status of delinquent accounts to management. Create and maintaining SOP’s and company policies as it relates to collection activities. Answer customer phone calls. Perform other duties as required by the Director of Revenue. Ad hoc reporting as needed Perform other duties as required and assigned. Required Qualifications 3 to 5 years of accounts receivable/collections experience Microsoft Office, Outlook, intranet/internet proficiency Proficient with excel spreadsheets Very strong customer service skills Strong organizational skills Excellent verbal and written communications skills Strong attention to detail and meeting deadlines Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or 10 years related experience / 5+ at Senior level Physical Requirements Ability to sit for extended periods of time Walk or Stand for 100% of the time Moderate or advanced keyboard usage Lift 10 lbs. Travel 0% of the time Base Pay Range: Annualized salary range offered for this position is estimated to be $65,000 - $85,000. However, the actual pay range depends on each candidate’s experience, location, and qualifications.
