Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: MO license or compact license required Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIH, PALS required; CPI and TNCC preferred Must-Have: - Minimum of 2 years of experience in Emergency Room nursing - Certifications in ACLS, BCLS, NIH, and PALS Description: The Emergency Room is seeking a Day Shift Registered Nurse. This position requires a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4. Every third weekend is required for staffing. Saturday and Sunday shifts will be part of the rotation for Day Shift. Candidates must be able to manage a variety of clinical situations, including trauma cases. Experience in the following areas is essential: abdominal pain, asthma, drug overdose, and intubation. The role includes responsibilities like central line management, chest tube insertion, and telemetry monitoring. Nurses will interact with diverse patient populations, including neonates, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams such as respiratory services and social services is expected. Candidates should be comfortable floating within the service line as needed. Required skills include managing violent behavior and understanding mental health conditions. Certifications must be obtained by the specified compliance deadline.
