Job Title

Operating Room Nurse Manager

Location

Scranton, PA

Schedule / Job Type

Contract (Possibility of Temp-to-Hire); Full-Time, Onsite; Day Shift with variable start times; 5x8s, 40 hours per week; No weekends or holidays

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily Operating Room operations, driving key performance indicators including turnaround times and first case on-time starts
• Ensure regulatory preparedness and compliance with TJC and DOH survey requirements, as well as current AORN guidelines and evidence-based practice
• Oversee new project roll-outs and sustain ongoing departmental compliance initiatives
• Manage staff scheduling and timekeeping within a collective bargaining environment using UKG, Kronos, and/or Workday
• Serve as a resource for troubleshooting and on-call support as needed
• Provide direct patient care in the Operating Room when required

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 5 years of Operating Room nursing experience
• Demonstrated experience in an OR leadership role
• Trauma experience required
• Strong working knowledge of current AORN guidelines and evidence-based practice
• Experience with TJC and DOH surveys and regulatory preparedness

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CNOR certification preferred
• Experience managing within a collective bargaining department
• Proficiency with UKG, Kronos, and/or Workday for staff scheduling and timekeeping
• HRO (High Reliability Organization) training
