Princeton Theological Seminary - Assistant Professor of Pastoral Theology, Care, and Counseling

OF PASTORAL THEOLOGY, CARE, AND COUNSELING

Princeton Theological Seminary invites applications for a faculty position in Pastoral Theology, Care, and Counseling at the rank of Assistant Professor (tenure-track). The successful candidate will display a vital theological, ecclesiastical, and intercultural understanding of pastoral theology, care, and counseling. The MDiv and PhD degrees or their equivalents are required. Candidates are expected to have a portfolio of publications and teaching experience in the field of pastoral theology, care, and counseling, and research interests in one or more of the following areas: spiritual, social, and political determinants of health; communal care, social justice, and liberation; pastoral theological perspectives on sexuality and gender. Responsibilities Pursuing an active scholarly research agenda Supervising PhD students Mentoring students in all degree programs Serving on faculty committees Participating regularly in the communal life of the Seminary Qualifications MDiv and PhD degrees or their equivalents Portfolio of publications and teaching experience in pastoral theology, care, and counseling Research interests in the areas outlined above Ability to work within an ecumenical ethos informed by the Reformed Tradition, as the Seminary is related to the Presbyterian Church (USA) Salary range: $85,000-95,000.
