What You’ll Do:
- Generate precise, high-stakes quotes for sheet metal parts, weldments, machined components, and assemblies in a fast-paced, high-mix environment.
- Analyze engineering drawings, specifications, and BOMs to determine materials, labor, and production requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering, purchasing, scheduling, and production to resolve technical questions and optimize estimates.
- Obtain, evaluate, and integrate vendor/sub-tier quotes to ensure cost-effective and accurate proposals.
- Apply Inland’s quoting processes and ERP systems to deliver consistent, error-free, and traceable estimates under tight deadlines.
What You Bring:
- 3+ years of estimating or process engineering experience in sheet metal fabrication, weldments, or integrated assemblies.
- Deep technical knowledge of fabrication, machining, welding, and assembly processes, including cost drivers and production challenges.
- Strong proficiency with Excel, ERP software, and quoting modules to manage complex estimates efficiently.
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills; errors are not an option.
- Effective technical communicator and collaborator, capable of explaining complex processes clearly to cross-functional teams.
