Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and polished Sous Chef to serve within our culinary team in New York City.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute and present dishes with exceptional attention to detail, artistry, and consistency
• Ensure seamless kitchen operations, maintaining the highest standards of timing, quality, and service
• Lead kitchen operations in the absence of the Executive Chef, including oversight of food preparation and service execution
• Proactively resolve operational challenges while maintaining composure and professionalism in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment
• Train, mentor, and inspire culinary team members, fostering growth and maintaining a culture of excellence
• Develop staff schedules, monitor performance, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback
• Manage inventory, sourcing, and ordering of premium ingredients while maintaining cost controls
• Uphold and enforce all health, sanitation, and safety regulations in accordance with industry and luxury brand standards
• Maintain accurate timekeeping and payroll records
• Cultivate a collaborative, respectful, and guest-focused environment among team members

Qualifications

• 2+ years culinary management experience
• Proven experience in luxury hotel kitchens or fine dining establishments
• Execution of high-end culinary concepts
• Strong leadership and team management skills with a track record of developing talent
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask and perform under pressure
• High level of professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to culinary excellence
• Ability to respond quickly and effectively to challenges while maintaining service standards
