Join us to invest in yourself, your career, and the financial world. Role SoFi is looking for a Copywriter to join our internal Creative Studio. You’re a self‑starter, team player, and able to quickly adopt our brand tone and style across all of our communications. Your primary role will be to write branded communications across web, digital, social, blog, and print for our banking, investing, and other member products. However, you may flex to other areas of the Studio as necessary or concept toward “big idea” brand campaigns. What You’ll Do Own end‑to‑end concepting and copywriting for marketing projects: email, in‑app messages, social media posts, branding campaign and assets, lead‑generation campaigns and assets, digital videos, web and other interactive assets. Understand the data and allow it to inform your work. Balance tried and true elements while continually pushing the brand forward. Collaborate closely with the design team to devise creative solutions. Work with the Lifecycle marketing team to craft prospect and member journeys. Support the roll‑out of workflow automation and AI integration for performance‑based testing. Ensure brand voice consistency with stakeholders and reviewers. Generate new ways to tell our brand story across multiple channels. Edit and proofread your own writing and all content supplied by partners and guest contributors for voice and tone. Develop a “big idea” as needed and translate it into campaigns that can include everything from email to web to video. Manage multiple projects and prioritize time effectively. Present work to creative leadership and stakeholders with clarity and passion. Take risks and push creative boundaries. Who You Are Your writing is witty, punchy, and not afraid to push industry boundaries. You know what makes a great headline and subject line. You can adjust the SoFi brand voice and tone based on medium and audience. You’re collaborative and have experience partnering with a designer or art director. You’re a fast learner and can hit the ground quickly. You’re curious about using AI products for writing support, or are experienced at AI prompting. You’re data‑driven: love testing copy and iterating based on results. You take initiative, stay organized, and handle multiple projects at once. You’re strategically minded with strong problem‑solving skills and close attention to detail. You’re enthusiastic about your work and joining a close‑knit team. You have excellent writing and editing skills. Knowledge of financial services or personal finance is a plus. Experience with legal disclosure copy and compliance teams is a plus. A minimum of 3+ years writing copy for a brand in an agency or in‑house creative department. Bachelor’s degree with an English/Advertising/Journalism focus.
